Jake works as the Senior Vice President of FARING, a progressive, privately-held real estate development firm in the City of West Hollywood. He leads all public-facing activity for the group and specializes in pedestrian-oriented commercial and residential properties. Jake manages communications and local coalition building around a unique collection of high-profile historic buildings and landmark adaptive re-use projects for the firm.
Jake led Cultural Landmark Designation efforts for two LGBTQ+ properties in West Hollywood, the French Market Building on Santa Monica Boulevard (home to groundbreaking AIDS activism and the first LGBT Political Action Committee) and Studio One Disco/Mitchell Motion Picture Camera Factory Building.
Jake was proud to lead entitlement efforts for the first all-electric Class-A building in West Hollywood on the world-famous Sunset Strip. The project was recognized by the West Hollywood Public Facilities Commission with their 2021 Green Seedlings Prize for outstanding environmental innovation in commercial buildings. Jake is proud to support new projects that are environmentally sustainable, neighborhood-compatible and provide innovative, affordable housing options.
